Violence in the Media

Violence has always been evident in the media- this is not anything new. We have always had access from the media to view violence. However, I will say that the ways that the media allows us to view violence are growing. 

These articles are saying that the media's constant showcase of violence is desensitizing us- implying that we are almost even more accepting of viewing violence and having our children exposed to it as well. The media might be desensitizing us, but children are exposed to all kinds of violence in the media so I personally think that the "video games are too violent" sort of argument kind of becomes irrelevant once you see that they are exposed to REAL violence on the news as opposed to fake violence in games, television shows, movies, etc.
