Is our Patience AOL Dial-Up or Google Fiber?

Back when the internet was young everyone had to log in using AOL dial up and I bet everyone can still hear that screeching sound when you use to start up. Back then people knew how long it took for a single image or video to load. We had a lot of patience for the internet back in the day because we knew the limitations of it, we knew it was not going to be done in a matter of seconds nor milliseconds like we do now. I honestly remember waiting 10 minutes for a minute video to load and even waiting at least 5 minutes for a single image. I remember the image loading from top to bottom every so slowing and seeing how far it progressed after a couple of minutes. Now however our images load with lighting speed and if they don’t we refresh until they do or give up all together. I do feel like we lost our patience but I also feel that we get frustrated when that cat video doesn’t load because we were promised high speed internet, HD videos to load in a matter of seconds. However, when we pay for something we expect it to be true, or at least I do and when it isn’t what was promise we might get a bit upset or frustrated. Yes, I feel like we might be losing a bit of our patience but not all of it because we were promise speed and we expect it to be there and when it is not then that when our “patience wears thin”.
