Privacy and Social Media

Although many social media sites like to frequently highlight their "privacy" settings, most of our information shared on social networking sites is far from private. We are constantly giving away our information to sites and half of the time we do not even realize it. Many people are not even bothered by their information being taken and shared because "it's going to happen anyway." Honestly, I think that myself and my family and friends feel this way most of the time as well. I try to protect my privacy as much as I can, but I often feel like there isn't even much I can do at this point. Many of the sites even make it more difficult to set up certain privacy settings. In my experience, it's pretty difficult to set up higher privacy levels with Facebook.
