The Problem Isn't Over-Sharing. It's Over-Following

This article is interesting. The line of thinking reminds me how I complain about certain famous people being famous for basically having no skill yet I'll still catch up with any gossip if its trending on  social media. There was a girl 13 year old girl on the Dr. Phil Show named Danielle Burgoli (aka the "catch me outside" ) girl who possessed aggressive behavior towards the adults on the show. She is disrespectful to her her mother, Dr. Phil and even the audience. There was a particular moment in the segment where she threatens the audience to fight her outside. She says her famous lines that broke the internet "catch me outside, how about that".

  She is now signed to a major record label and is now a household TV personality. Her videos reach  millions of views on YouTube. I the video flooding my news feed. The videos were coupled with complaints about the girls behavior. She went from being on a guest on a TV show to instafamou, and WE did that.

By viewing and sharing content that you find annoying your enabling them to continue because you are increasing their visablity just by even talking about it
