“Do I look fat in this dress?”

I know I have heard this question thousand times, either by my mother, sisters or even a girlfriend. The best way to answer this question is by looking, not spending more than 1 second and saying “no” with a serious face. If you don’t do it exactly this way, then you’re in for a whole lot of arguments. Now I always thought that answering “no” will make them happily and I can keep living my life in piece. However, upon reading this I came to the conclusion that saying “no” will make them confident and even smarter for the rest of the day. So maybe the next time they ask me “Do I look fat in this dress?”, I’ll answer with a serious face “no, but you know what will go great with that dress? A doctor’s coat.”

I also got reminded of a story my mother once told me. She currently owns a Beauty Salon and when I was younger I asked her why she choose a certain hairstylist. My mother told me that back when the salon had just opened there were a people trying to work at the salon, but she only had a few work stations. She eventually got down to the last chair and there were two lady hair stylists trying to apply. She met with both and found that they both had equal experience working with a hair. I asked what made her choose between the two since they were both equally qualified. She laughed and simply said “I liked how the current worker dressed”. I was surprised, but if dressing nicely will give me at least a small percentage over the rest of the competition then by all means I will dress nicely.
