With just a tilt of the head….

As I was reading these to articles, (Your Brain Has A ‘Delete Button’ And Here’s How To Use It! and Mind Games: Sometimes a White Coat Isn’t Just a White Coat) a couple of similar ideas came to mind as well as questions.

While I was reading the first article, I couldn’t help but doubt and question the scientific aspect of the research. The article made it seem that “deleting” information was easy as 1-2-3, but it isn’t. When people are unhappy or get angry or mad, all they can think about is that moment leading up to, during, and after. How can it be as simple as not thinking about it when you are so unhappy and mad? When my mood changes or when something bad happens to me all I can think about is that moment.

I can relate more to the second article. When I wear formal shoes or when I dress in button down shirts, I feel more important and I end up carrying myself a little different, then when I wear my normal jeans and flip flops. I’ve actual noticed something very similar to the article. I’ve noticed that when I sway or walk with my head lower to the ground, I will tend to doubt and question myself more, but when I hold my head high I feel superior to others and will feel full of pride. It’s a very weird observation that I have made on myself and every now and then I will notice myself swaying my head and I will remind myself to tilt it up. It’s the oddest thing but it will literally instantly change my mood.
