Technology has made our lives pass by before our eyes and we
don’t even know it. We are the generation that goes to concerts and records the
whole thing on snapchat and don’t get to enjoy the actual show. Everything we
want is in our hands in 2 seconds and gets us used to having everything right
away. Even things like food, we want it fast. Like when someone posts something
and gets upset or deletes it because it’s been 5 minutes and no one has liked
it (guilty). Technology of course has its positives like allowing us to do
things on the go, or communicate with certain people, or GPS/calling/etc. We spend our time watching people and things
on snapchat and IG that we’re using that time of our lives and wasting it. We
get used to things like auto correct and become lazy, which I believe makes us
more reliant on technology and overall dumber. Life passes by so fast, media
makes it faster. We get news from across the world almost instantly, which is
an example of how this has a good side. There is so much to do, and it feels
like we have no time even though it’s always been the same 24 hours we’ve
always had. But instead we spend it checking (stalking) our friends, strangers,
celebrities, checking our mail, texting/calling/etc. I can feel a difference in my day and even
happiness when I am not messing with technology and just enjoying my day. Unfortunately,
this isn’t the realistic version of the world we live in today.
